Genetic Barcode (Preview Post)
The cube is designed to display a barcode on each side and has a QR code on top that takes you to a blog or NFT of the art piece. The barcodes are generated through a genetic algorithm, and the author has been rethinking and redesigning the barcode interpreter and generator to create a consistent start, center, and finish section for each barcode. The author has created a working barcode generator and has been troubleshooting the alignment of the bars. There are also several images included in the log showing the progress of the project.
Creating Music with M&Ms: A Chaotic System
Have you ever thought about using M&Ms to create music? In this article, we explore a unique and fun way to generate musical compositions using a chaotic system that involves four randomness attributes. By distributing M&Ms on a grid and mapping them to different notes or sounds, you can create a wide range of musical patterns that are both unpredictable and interesting. However, mapping the grid location to notes or sequencer spacing can be challenging, and deciding which sounds the M&Ms should make requires some creativity. In the future, enhancements such as a camera, additional buttons or knobs, and a calibration mode could be added to improve the system.
